With a background in both geophysics and education, I combine science-based solutions with a people-centric approach to sustainability. Through my previous role as Senior Estates Decarbonisation Officer for the Isle of Man Government, I have experience writing strategy and providing technical support with an emphasis on buildings decarbonisation.
I have Domestic Energy Assessor, Retrofit Assessor and Heat Loss Assessor qualifications and a strong understanding of Building Physics.
I am a systems thinker and problem-solver, and I will go the extra mile to help you navigate any obstacles you encounter on your sustainability journey.
In my recent role as Climate Change Policy Manager for the Isle of Man Government I was involved in the development of the Island’s Climate Change Act and the 2022-2027 Climate Change Plan. My sustainability knowledge covers a wide range of sectors, is rooted in a clear understanding of the local challenges and opportunities, informed by international best practices.
I led the design and annual analysis of the Island’s public body climate reporting system, helped to develop climate policy at a national – including introducing the Climate Impact Assessment that is now a statutory requirement for Manx public bodies.
I have now set out on a new pathway in the private sector, but with the same motivation: putting sustainability at the heart of our Island and contributing to, not just a liveable future, but one in which we thrive.
I am a certified Green Transition Coach, Carbon LiterateTM and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor.
